Dr. Kate Yates
Dr. Kate Yates joined the Paramount team in March 2023, bringing with her over ten years of emergency and primary care experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2014.
Dr. Yates’ medical interests are diverse with a focus on small animal surgery, emergency, and critical care. In addition to her passion for veterinary medicine, Kate is dedicated towards mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals and supporting mental health initiatives to promote the wellbeing of all veterinary team members. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys volunteering for the Canadian Animal Task Force providing communities in need with veterinary care.
In her spare time, Kate looks forward to walks with her husband and their rescue dog Dora at Nose Hill Park. She also finds balance hiking and skiing in the Rocky Mountains.
