Meet Our Team

Dr. Ashley Kirby was born and raised in Northwest Calgary, so she was happy to join the Paramount team in her old stomping grounds in January 2022. Ashley’s dream of becoming a veterinarian began early when she announced to her parents she would either be a veterinarian or a dog hairstylist at the age of 5. Alas, she did not have the flair for grooming so veterinary school it was.

Ashley attended the University of Calgary Veterinary Medicine program graduating in the first class in 2012 with honours. Immediately after graduating, Ashley joined a busy emergency and primary care clinic in Northwest Calgary and honed her knowledge under a great team of experienced veterinarians for the next 9 years. During that time Ashley developed a keen interest and skill in surgery, dentistry, and emergency medicine. Given the varied caseload, she also had extensive exposure to all areas of veterinary medicine, expanding her knowledge and experience to better serve her clients and patients.

In her time out of the clinic, Ashley has a passion for adventure travel, her family, and her friends. Her high-maintenance but lovable pups, Pitbull Mabel and Olde English Bulldog Mildred, also occupy much of her time with their antics.

Ashley looks forward to developing trusting and sincere relationships with her clients and, most importantly, her patients.
