Advanced Imaging
Our veterinary team provides top-quality care for your beloved pets.

Advanced Imaging
We offer advanced diagnostic imaging, including CT (Computed Tomography) scans and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans. These state-of-the-art imaging techniques help us diagnose complex medical conditions and create precise treatment plans for your pet’s needs.
CT Scans for Pets
CT scans use X-ray technology and computer processing to create highly detailed cross-sectional images of your pet’s body. This allows us to visualize bones, soft tissues, and organs with exceptional clarity.
Common Uses of CT Scans:
- Diagnosing orthopedic conditions (e.g., complex fractures, joint abnormalities)
- Detecting tumors and masses in the body
- Evaluating nasal and sinus diseases
- Identifying trauma-related injuries
- Assessing lung conditions
What to Expect During a CT Scan:
- Your pet will receive sedation or general anesthesia to ensure they remain still for accurate imaging.
- The scan itself is quick, often completed within 5-15 minutes.
- The CT images are then interpreted by a veterinary radiologist and our team will discuss the results with you, recommending next steps for diagnosis or treatment.
MRI Scans for Pets
MRI scans use a magnetic field and radio waves to produce detailed images of soft tissues, including the brain, spinal cord, muscles, and internal organs. Unlike CT scans, MRI does not use radiation, making it the preferred choice for certain neurological and soft tissue conditions.
Common Uses of MRI Scans:
- Diagnosing neurological disorders (e.g., seizures, brain tumors, spinal cord injuries)
- Evaluating herniated discs and intervertebral disc disease (IVDD)
- Detecting soft tissue injuries, such as ligament tears or muscle damage
- Assessing inner ear disease and vestibular disorders
- Investigating unexplained pain, lameness, weakness, or mobility issues
What to Expect During an MRI Scan:
- Because MRI requires complete stillness, your pet will be placed under general anesthesia for the procedure.
- The scan typically takes 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the area being examined.
- The MRI images are then interpreted by a veterinary radiologist and our team will discuss the results with you, recommending next steps for diagnosis or treatment.
CT and MRI scans provide non-invasive, highly detailed insights that traditional X-rays and ultrasounds cannot always offer. These imaging techniques allow us to:
- Detect diseases earlier
- Create precise surgical plans when needed
- Improve outcomes with accurate diagnoses
If your pet requires advanced imaging, our experienced veterinary team will guide you through the process, ensuring their safety and comfort every step of the way.
